Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area, or WE, was formed in 1998 by a small group of women who knew that women business owners needed to connect with one another.

Within a half a year, the group had grown from 12 to 80 members. At its peak, in 2008, after 10 years in existence, WE was 150 members strong.

Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area was initially a not for profit corporation with a focus on providing a welcoming and friendly environment for business women to meet and network. The organization has changed over the years, but it still provides quality events and a variety of business topics that encourages members and guests to break down communication barriers, build friendships and conduct business.

After 20 years, with only a few members willing to take over and facing a sure extinction, Julia Lucio, Connie Augi and Lorraine Regnier privatized the organization and broadened the scope of membership, hoping the stability of a constant board of directors would help secure WE’s future.

Women who own their own business, women who work for others, students and homemakers are equally welcome in the new WE. WE Empower one another by bringing different viewpoints and experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Everyone comes for an opportunity to relax and meet up with like minded women.

We hold monthly meetings for you to promote your business, build contacts and make friendships. So, if you fancy networking with a difference, come out and join us and find out more.

We Connect.  We Share. We Support.  We Empower.
